CW Construction sponsors Dowd for Glen Helen

The Glen Helen AMA National MX race this weekend will be John Dowd’s final event of his JYD Farewell Tour. As we all know John has been allowing his fans to get involved in The Farewell Tour by allowing different title sponsor for each weekend. This weekend’s title sponsor will be CW Construction. Owner Wayne Carey and his son Wes are longtime motocross enthusiasts and big time John Dowd fans. CW Construction has been one of the largest framing contractors in Southern California since 1976 and is located in nearby Rancho Cucamonga, CA. “We are very excited to be able to give back to the sport and especially the opportunity to sponsor John, one of the most respected riders in the sport.” said Wes.

Dowd said “My fans have been amazing this year not only the one’s that have been able to sponsor the team for a weekend but also just the kind words I have been receiving at the track and most of all the noise they have been making for me during the race. This Farewell Tour was all about saying goodbye to the fans, but I never thought it would be quite this much fun.”

Dowd is still looking to break into the top 5 in the Series; he currently sits 6th in series points and only 6 points behind 5th. But it is official John will finish the series in the top 10 at 40 years old, he is over 50 points ahead of the 9th and 10th place riders.

John would like to thank everyone who has sponsored Team JYD for a race, Active8 Racing, Spectro Oils, Renthal, Pro Circuit, Racer X, Kicker Audio,Ricky Carmichael, Lobisser Building Corp, and last weekends sponsor MOTOTALK CW have all been sponsors this season.

Thanks to all the fans that have shown interest in sponsoring Team JYD. The Glen Helen round is the only race left and the bids are already coming in. If you are interested in sponsoring the team, or need to contact John for any reason email me at bberry@active8racing.com.
